Commercial agreement with Ecospray Technologies S.r.l, a worldwide SOx scrubber manufacturer

NYK Trading Corporation (Head Office: Tokyo) has signed a commercial agreement with Ecospray Technologies S.r.l (Head Office: Italy), a worldwide SOx scrubber manufacturer for the sales of his products in Japan.
Orders for SOx scrubber system have already been placed by a Japanese shipowner and the scrubbers will be delivered and installed within 2019.
The global sulphur cap will enter into force in 2020 and demand for SOx scrubber is increasing sharply all over the world. NYK Trading Corporation will promote sales activities to meet the demand.
Ecospray has installed over 300 SOx scrubber systems since 2012 catering to needs of European and American owners. The majority of these systems are retrofit projects custom designed for commercial and cruise vessels successfully meeting the
IMO SOx global cap of 2020. The company has a wide network of fabricators in Europe, Far East and North America which offer flexibility in offering proposals and delivery dates.
NYK Trading Corporation will keep developing new SOx scrubber business with the clear target to cater to the needs of Japanese shipowners.
